“Bodybuilders just drink shakes instead of food”
This is definitely not true. Yes, shakes and supplements are taken but this is to only support a well-balanced diet when preparing for a show. If anything, preparing for a show, your nutritionist will customize your plan to maybe even eat more due to your active lifestyle and training.
“Once you stop training your muscle will turn into fat”
This is not true, but if you do stop training the only thing that will happen is that your muscles will finally soften and shrink if you do stop all training.
“Men and women train differently”
There really is no difference in the muscle tissue of men and women. The only thing we need to consider as that women may not be able to put on the same amount of muscle as men would as it really depends on the different levels of hormones each person has.
“Starving yourself sheds fat off fast”
A vast majority of people still now till this day believe that starvation can help them lose weight fast. This is absolutely not true and can be no further from the truth. Instead it does the exact opposite, starvation will lead to fat being stored in your body.
“Weight training decrease muscle flexibility”
Using weights will cause your muscle to get tight over a period of time and can hinder your flexibility and performance. But if anything, when you properly use weight training in your workout routine – it can actually help you increase your flexibility.
“You have to go heavy to gain muscle mass”
If you train low reps with a heavy load you will be definitely have stimulated muscle growth. But this is not the only way you can train to get muscles fast. But the truth is, without stressing your muscle with a heavier load you won’t change your body or grow.
