I grew up playing several sports and have always enjoyed participating in physical activity from a young age. However, when I finished high school in 2016 and became a busy tertiary student at AUT University in 2017, I was less involved with organised sports and adopted some unhealthy eating habits. This primarily impacted my mental/emotional and physical health, and in some respects, my social and spiritual health too. So, in 2018, I implemented a better nutrition plan, joined the AUT gym and started utilizing different recreational spaces around Auckland. I have done my best since to consistently engage in a variety of exercise activities and adopt healthier eating habits to help sustain this better-quality lifestyle I have achieved. Prioritizing the improvement of my health long-term is especially important to me now as I have finished studying and live back home in Cambridge.
